Zhukovsky International Airport announces the appointment of E.A. Solodilin to the post of General Director of the RAMPORT AERO holding – the corresponding decision was unanimously taken at an extraordinary meeting of the company's Board of Directors.

Evgeny Solodilin is one of the authors of the project for the development of a civil airport complex based on the infrastructure of the Ramenskoye airfield. He has been a member of the top management of RAMPORT AERO JSC since the company was founded in 2014. Until the departure of the previous head of the company, Thomas Vaishvila, who voluntarily resigned in early March, he served as First Deputy General Director of RAMPORT AERO JSC. In addition to the new appointment, Evgeny Solodilin retained the leadership of ZhIA CARGO JSC (cargo and mail service operator in Zhukovsky).

As a response to external challenges, RAMPORT AERO JSC begins consolidating all resources of the holding under common management: passenger and cargo operators, as well as a ground handling operator, are united into a single financial mechanism.

“This will allow achieve a simplification of the overall management structure, reduce decision-making time, increase the financial transparency of the holding's activities and provide greater opportunities for tariff maneuvering to provide attractive conditions for passengers, cargo shippers and partner airlines of the airport.

In the context of the ongoing sanctions pressure on Russia, the airport has already held successful negotiations with credit institutions. An agreement was reached on the temporary suspension of interest payments on existing credit obligations. At the current time, this step, together with additional support from shareholders, will allow us to control the situation and prevent disruptions in the operation of the airport,” – E. Solodilin commented on the situation.

At the moment, Zhukovsky’s partner airlines Together with the airport management, they are exploring the possibilities of continuing activities in the current situation. As a first step, additional Russian-made aircraft are being relocated to Zhukovsky for passenger air transportation to all domestic and international destinations available under the current restrictions. Similar steps are being taken in the area of ​​interaction with the airport's cargo partners.
