Unvaccinated Russians may be exempt from PCR testing upon arrival in Russia

According to a document published on the official portal of draft regulations, it is proposed to recognize as invalid the paragraph of the resolution of the chief state sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation “On ensuring isolation in order to prevent the spread of COVID-2019”, according to which citizens of the Russian Federation arriving in the country must, within three calendar days from the date of arrival, pass PCR test for coronavirus. This is reported by Interfax.

In addition, if the decision to ease covid measures is taken, foreign citizens and stateless persons will only need to fill out questionnaires for those arriving on the territory of the Russian Federation, and not take a PCR test.

Rospotrebnadzor also proposes to introduce the practice of random testing at all state border checkpoints.
