During the week October 13 to 19, 2022 year with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism in the city of Yekaterinburg, an outreach program for tourism and hospitality volunteers in the Urals Federal District will be held.
The program includes field volunteer practices on ecological tourist routes in the Urals for volunteers to monitor the ecological tourist anthropogenic load, create navigation, and improve eco routes. Volunteers will practice on such routes and territories as the Great Ural Trail, the Solnechnaya Dolina ski resort, as well as on eco routes in and around Yekaterinburg, including the famous ecological trail named after the Hero of the Soviet Union, scout N .AND. Kuznetsov in Victory Park.
At practical classes, volunteers will master mapping, eco-tour creation skills, service skills necessary for interacting with guests, tourists and eco-tour organizers. They will also gain skills in interacting with tourists and guests with special needs, gain practical experience in promoting the development of the tourism potential of the territory and participating in volunteer programs and tourism projects. Also, within the framework of the program, volunteers will learn about volunteer activities in the field of tourism and hospitality, volunteer programs in ecotourism, form basic ideas about eco-territories, specially protected natural areas, national parks, nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries, eco-hotels and eco-glampings, as well as the functions of volunteers in assistance to organizers and tourists in the field of ecotourism, environmental volunteering.
