The number of Russian tourists in Turkey fell by 2.5 times
In May 2022 in Turkey received 62.4% fewer tourists than in May 2019. This was reported in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, noting that in absolute terms, the Russian tourist flow has decreased to 362.7 thousand arrivals.
The ATOR explained that it is incorrect to compare the figures for the current year with 2020 and 2021 for Turkey, because as in those years, most of the time during the specified period, Turkey was closed for flights from the Russian Federation.
In May 2022, the largest number of tourists arrived in Turkey from Germany — 494,929 visits. In second place is — UK with 395,056 visits. Russia is in third place – 362,676.
