Russian tourists are planning to spend the May weekend in Turkey. Such conclusions were made by analysts of the online store Travelata.ru. Despite the significant rise in travel prices, travelers want to go on vacation abroad. The total number of bookings has increased by 85% compared to last year.
Türkiye is the most popular destination for the May holidays. Such conclusions were made by analysts of the online tour store Travelata.ru. 36% of all booked trips plan to go there. The average price of such a trip is 183 thousand rubles. Second place went to Russian resorts with 24%. You can relax inside the country much cheaper, on average, a tour costs 59 thousand rubles. A complete beach holiday can be obtained in the UAE, Egypt and Thailand. These countries ranked consecutively from third to fifth in the popularity rating. The most expensive were trips to Thailand – 256 thousand rubles on average. Egypt became the most budgetary of the beach destinations – 191 thousand rubles per tour.
Last year, more than half of Russians decided not to leave the country for the May holidays. Then 53% of vacationers visited domestic resorts. 35% spent this time in Turkey and only 6% in Egypt. It should be noted that travel has risen in price. Average prices for trips across Russia have risen from 52,000 to 59, and Turkish holidays now cost almost 50,000 more. At the same time, the volume of bookings increased sharply – by 85%.
Sochi and St. Petersburg
Most of the tourists who decided to stay inside the country chose to go to the Krasnodar Territory. Sochi Center (22%) costs an average of about 70 thousand rubles, Adler (16%) is slightly cheaper – about 64 thousand rubles. In second place is the Northern capital. 19% of travelers plan to go to St. Petersburg. The fourth line was taken by Kaliningrad (8%). The most expensive Russian destination was Krasnaya Polyana – almost 82 thousand rubles.
Last year, the situation among the leaders was similar. The top positions were also occupied by Greater Sochi and St. Petersburg. Also in the rating were trips to Moscow, this year the capital dropped out of the popularity rating.
5-star May trips
Comfort comes first. Most often, tourists for these May holidays choose 5-star accommodation for themselves (45%). Slightly fewer people preferred 4* – 29%. 15% of vacationers are ready to spend their spring holidays in 3* hotels. Last year the situation was similar, but 5* scored only 34%.
Meals Russian tourists preferred “all inclusive” and “ultra all inclusive”. This option is the choice of half of the travelers. In third place are breakfasts (27%). Last year, tourists also chose accommodation “without food” (24%), this year their share has halved to 12%.
Traditionally, Russian tourists prefer to travel in pairs. There are also many solo travelers and families with children.
