Travel planning service OneTwoTrip revealed how much its clients pay per night in a hotel in different cities around the world. To do this, experts identified several price categories and analyzed hotel bookings for the fall in Russia and abroad.
It turned out that in Russiatravelers most often choose more budget hotels: 32.2% of autumn orders are for hotels where a night costs from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, and 21.4% – for the category up to 3,000 rubles per night. For the amount from 5,000 to 7,000 rubles, 18.7% of bookings were made, and from 7,000 to 10,000 rubles – 14.2%. Rooms costing from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles per day are chosen in 8.4% of cases, and the share of orders in more expensive hotels (15,000 rubles and above) is 5.1%.
ButabroadOn the contrary, hotels where a night costs more than 15,000 rubles are in greatest demand: they account for 27.0% of orders. The share of rooms costing from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles is 18.5%, and from 7,000 to 10,000 rubles – 16.7%. Many travelers also prefer more budget-friendly options: 15.5% of orders are placed in hotels, where a night costs from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles. Hotels in the categories “from 5,000 to 7,000 rubles” and “up to 3,000 rubles” are in the least demand – they were booked in 13.1% and 9.2% of cases, respectively.
In addition, ratings of cities in Russia and abroad were compiled, where tourists most often book hotels of various price categories.
In Russia, accommodation facilities cost up to 3,000 rublesper night are usually chosen in Vladikavkaz (44.3% of all hotel bookings placed for the fall in this price segment), Omsk (40.0%) and Anapa (36.6%). Abroad, budget hotels are chosen in Pattaya (47.2%), Gagra (39.7%) and Bangkok (24.7%).
To the list of Russian cities where hotels are the most popularfrom 3,000 to 5,000 rublesper night, included Khabarovsk (56.4% of orders), Veliky Novgorod (52.9%) and Tver (52.5%). Abroad, such options are most often booked in Rimini (73.2%), Gagra (31.8%) and Pattaya (27.8%).
Hotels costingfrom 5,000 to 7 000 rublesper night in Russia the most popular are in Vyborg (39.7% of bookings), Svetlogorsk (35.5%) and Yaroslavl (32.0%), and abroad – in Budapest (35.7%), Astana (23.9 %) and Athens (22.2%).
Hotels where the room rate is from 7,000 to 10,000 rubles per day are most often chosen in Grozny in Russia (33 .8% of autumn orders fell into this category), Pskov (28.8%) and Vladivostok (28.7%). Of the foreign cities, the top included Varadero (48.0%), Tokyo (32.8%) and Beijing (31.0%).
Category of hotels with nightly rates from 10,000 to 15 000 rublesin Russia, the greatest demand is in Esto-Sadok (20.7%), Zelenogradsk (12.5%) and Vladikavkaz (11.4%). And in other countries, Almaty (31.5%), Rome (27.9%) and Istanbul (26.0%) were in the top.
And finally, the most expensive hotels, where accommodation costs more than 15,000 rublesper day, usually chosen in Samara (12.5%), Esto-Sadka (12.4%) and Irkutsk (9.9%), if we are talking about Russia, as well as in Paris (71.1%), Barcelona (65.6%) and Milan (55.9%) – abroad.
