In the first half of November, every fourth tourist arrived in Sri Lanka from Russia.
According to ATOR, citing the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), for the first 15 days of November Sri Lanka was visited by 27,213 tourists. 6701 arrivals from Russia were recorded, which accounted for 25% and made the Russian Federation the main tourist market for Sri Lanka.
The leaders also included India (4404 arrivals), Great Britain (2257), Germany (1924) and Australia (1371). It is known that in November the number of average daily arrivals of foreign tourists increased by 38% compared to October: from 1300 to 1800 people.
If we talk about statistics from the beginning of the year, the total number of visits from abroad amounted to 595,471 tourists. The TOP-3 includes India (99,891 arrivals), Great Britain (75,059) and Russia (64,190).
