The authorities of the Russian Federation and Turkey have agreed to increase the volume of air traffic between the countries, President Vladimir Putin said.

“It is important to create favorable conditions for travel between the two countries, and in this context we have agreed to increase the volume of bilateral air travel,” Putin said on Thursday during a ceremony via videoconference on the occasion of the delivery of Russian-made nuclear fuel to power unit 1 of the Turkish Akkuyu nuclear power plant, Interfax reports.

In February, it was reported that the Russian aviation authorities notified Turkish colleagues of the choice Cappadocia as a new point in Turkey for the launch of flights by Russian designated carriers. It was clarified that we are talking about Nevsehir Cappadocia Airport.
