Tutu.ru, an analytical center for the travel and travel service, found out where the most trips by rail are planned for this April. We analyzed tickets issued from 1 to 29 March for travel from 1 to 30 April within Russia. The average check for a railway ticket in Russia amounted to 2,782 rubles one way.
The greatest demand is for railway tickets to Moscow, with the capital accounting for slightly more than a quarter of bookings. The average check for a one-way ticket is 2,968 rubles. Most trips to Moscow in April are planned from St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnodar.
In second place in popularity is St. Petersburg, where about 12% of railway tickets are issued. The average check for a one-way trip from other Russian cities is 2,862 rubles. And most of all railway tickets to St. Petersburg were bought from Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Pskov, Tver and Voronezh.
Next in demand are Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Simferopol. The average check for a trip to Krasnodar is 2,816 rubles, to Rostov-on-Don — 3,213 rubles, and to Simferopol — 5,640 rubles one way.
Sochi, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Tyumen are also in the top 20 popular railway destinations for April within Russia. In addition, trips to Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Volgograd, Samara, Yaroslavl, Anapa, Omsk and Ufa are in demand.
