In February 2023, passenger traffic amounted to 16.6 billion passenger-kilometers, and in January – 18.2. The January figure was 4% lower than January last year. This was reported by Interfax with reference to Rosstat.
Cargo turnover of all airlines in February decreased by 5 times compared to February last year, to 123.4 million ton-kilometers (tkm), the volume of cargo transported — by 59%, to 30,000 tons.
Aeroflot Group previously reported its results: the group's passenger traffic increased by 18%, to 7.7 pkm, passenger traffic — by 6%, to 3 million people . The increase in passenger turnover is associated, among other things, with an increase in the range of transportation due to the need to fly around closed airports in the south of the Russian Federation.
