Qatar Tourism clarified the new rules regarding the provision of insurance for entering Qatar.

According to ATOR with reference to Qatar Tourism, for most Russian tourists, the rules for providing insurance will remain the same. Travelers who come to Qatar for a period of 30 days or less will not be affected by the changes. They will continue to be eligible for any international insurance policy that meets the following criteria:
- The coverage must extend to Qatar and this must be stated on the policy.
- The policy must be valid for the duration of the tourist's stay in the country.
- The policy must cover emergency medical and accidental services up to a limit of at least 150,000 Qatari riyals (approximately 42,000 USD) without deductions or surcharges.
- The policy must cover the treatment of COVID-19 with a limit of at least 50,000 Qatari riyals (approximately 14,000 USD).
- When entering the country, you must have a printed medical policy with you to present to the border authorities of Qatar .

The new requirement to have a medical policy from an insurance company approved by the Qatar Ministry of Health will affect tourists arriving in the country for more than 30 days.
