Indonesia expects to receive 8.5 million tourists in 2023.
“Suddenly there seems to be a strong momentum so that the original target has been increased by 1.1 million and now the figure is 8.5 million”, RIA Novosti of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Sandiaga Uno.
Last year, 7.4 million tourists visited the country. The latest data on the recovery of tourism in the Asia-Pacific region shows a promising growth curve. According to the minister, this is due, among other things, to an increase in the number of tourists from China, Australia and India.
It is also known that Indonesia has a goal of attracting up to 10 million tourists from China in the next 5-10 years.
