In the Celestial Teeth mountain range on the border of Khakassia and the Kemerovo region a tourist died.
Hundreds of travelers come to Celestial Teeth every year to enjoy the incredible views from above: mountain valleys, lakes, peaks and mountain ridges.
At the beginning of August, a tragedy broke out here. A group of climbers, among whom there were 3 children, passed along narrow mountain paths. One of the leaders of the group, 36 years old, who had high hopes, fell off the cliff and fell down. The man instantly crashed to death.
A helicopter with rescuers immediately flew from Abakan to the place of emergency. All tourists were evacuated from the scene of the tragedy, incl. children. But the specialists could not pull the body of the deceased out of the gorge in order to bury it in his homeland.
Only the next day, a separate group of rescuers arrived there. They got to the deceased for four days. The helicopter landed at the nearest accessible site, after which the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations made their way down into a deep crevice for about 5 km.
