The Crimean authorities extended the actions of a high level of terrorist threat on the territory of the republic. This was announced by the head of the region Sergey Aksyonov.
In order to ensure the security and anti-terrorist protection of the Republic of Crimea and its citizens in a number of municipalities and facilities of the republic, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat will be in effect from 20:00 on February 5, 2023 until a decision is made on its cancellation. Namely:
- in the territory of the urban districts of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, as well as Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky and Leninsky districts;
- at the objects Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Fuel and Energy of the Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea, State Committee for Water Resources and Melioration of the Republic of Crimea.
Also, in connection with the changes made to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 14, 2012 No. 851 and the Procedure approved by this decree, law enforcement agencies were instructed to strengthen control over the movement of vehicles across the administrative borders of the Republic of Crimea, organize inspection of vehicles using technical means to detect weapons and explosives.
“The situation in the region is completely under control. administered by executive authorities and local self-government. Power structures and law enforcement agencies ensure the security of the Republic of Crimea, its residents and guests in full,” he stressed.
