Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland have agreed to close the entry of Russian citizens from September 19.

The decision affected Schengen visas, both issued by these countries and those issued by other EU countries. “Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland have agreed on a common regional approach and hereby express their political will and firm intention to introduce national temporary measures for Russian citizens holding EU visas in order to eliminate immediate threats to public policy and security and to restrict entry into the Schengen zone for Russian citizens traveling for tourism, cultural, sporting and business purposes”, the @ranarod Telegram channel quotes an official statement from the authorities of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

Exceptions will be made for dissidents, humanitarian cases, family members, residence permit holders, to facilitate cargo and transport services, diplomatic missions, facilitated Kaliningrad transit of persons.
