Finland will announce ban on the entry of Russian cars
According to information received from public broadcaster YLE, Finland plans ban Russian vehicles from entering the country. The measure is believed to be in line with the European Union's hard-line stance.
Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen is expected to announce the decision today, but the information has not yet been officially confirmed.
B In this regard, it is worth noting that this week Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania also made a similar decision.
Earlier on September 8, the European Commission clarified that the sanctions imposed by the European Commission against Russia back in 2022 also apply to personal cars of Russian citizens with Russian registration numbers. Consequently, Russian citizens will be prohibited from entering the territory of the European Union in private cars, even for tourism purposes and for a short period of time.
