Finalists of the main tourist competition of the country “Masters of Hospitality” announced in Saransk

The winners of the semi-finals of the new season of the contest Masters of Hospitality, a project of the presidential platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities”, have been announced. strong> For three days, 115 hospitality industry managers from 39 regions competed for the right to reach the final of the competition at the face-to-face event in Saransk. 39 tourism industry professionals from 22 regions were named the best specialists.

Mordovia for the first time accepted participants of the All-Russian competition “Masters of Hospitality”. The event was attended by managers of the hospitality industry with managerial experience behind them. The main goal of the semi-final was to search for industry professionals for the positions of middle and top management of the state administration system and the commercial sector. During the competitive tests, the participants were evaluated by experts – industry professionals. They chose 39 contestants to compete in the grand final of the competition. The event was held at the Radisson Hotel & Congress Center Saransk.

Ivan Shulyupin: “Masters of Hospitality” is a project that is unique in its essence, bringing together a community of caring, talented, enthusiastic people from 85 regions of Russia and 29 foreign countries that are changing the world, starting from their small homeland. Mordovia met the Masters for the first time on its land and immediately fell in love with our participants. On behalf of the “Russia – Land of Opportunities” platform, I would like to thank the Republic of Mordovia, the Head of the Region Artyom Alekseevich Zdunov and the residents for the cordial and warm welcome and, undoubtedly, their contribution to the development of domestic tourism in Russia.”

For 4 days, Saransk was a second home for the participants of the event and a place of professional communication. I am sure that all the proposals for the development of the industry, which were developed during the competition program, will be systematized and used in further work to increase the tourist attractiveness of Mordovia”, – said the Head of the city district of Saransk Igor Asabin .

As part of the competitive tests, the participants passed an assessment of business and managerial competencies, solved seven industry cases in the areas of activity: hotel business, catering, tour operator, travel agency activities, public administration and the activities of public institutions, the event industry and the business sector of the hospitality industry and offered real business solutions. In particular, they visited the Mordovian Compound restaurant of national Mordovian cuisine and, as a “mystery shopper”, conducted an inspection of the restaurant, audited the Saransk hotel, developed the concept of the project for arranging the national route “Call of Torama”, identified a promising location for arranging a beach and recreational area in city ​​district of Saransk. Participants' ideas will be offered for implementation. This will increase the tourist flow in the region and make it even more attractive for tourists.

Head of the Masters of Hospitality competition Bogdan Kondratovsaid that the participants who made it to the grand final of the competition will have the opportunity to join the Expert Council of the largest federal tourism development programs, cash grants for personal development up to 500 thousand rubles, job offers, the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program, become part of the human resources potential of the country's hospitality industry.

At the closing ceremony, the dates and venue for the grand final of the new season of the Masters of Hospitality competition were announced, which will bring together the finalists of the Hospitality Industry Managers and Startups and Breakthrough Ideas in Tourism categories. The event will take place in March 2023 in the city of Perm.
