Famous Michelin-starred chefs will come to Crete, to the Daios Cove Luxury Resort & villas. Amaury then became an assistant chef at Alain Ducasse's restaurant at the Plaza Athénée hotel in Paris, where he was under the tutelage of Christophe Moret, Christophe Centagne and Romain Meder. Amaury is currently the head chef of the Le Meurice restaurant. Alain Ducasse on trusting the reins of Amaury: “I chose Amaury because he has the potential to bring a new stage in the life of the Le Meurice restaurant.” Alex Atala – Alex Atala During his 30-year career, award-winning Brazilian chef Alex Atala has been spreading haute cuisine around the world, and for the past thirteen years, his D.O.M. in Sao Paulo, Michelin-starred, one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. Romain Meder – Romain Meder Romain Meder trained in France, then perfected his culinary skills in the West Indies before returning to Paris with Hélène Darroze and the catering company Potel et Chabot. Alain Ducasse then asked Romain to join his team at Plaza Athénée before entrusting him with managing the kitchens of Spoon in Mauritius and IDAM in Qatar. Romain then took over as Executive Chef at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée in Paris until it closed in 2021. In 2016, the restaurant was awarded three Michelin stars. In September 2021, Romain Meder, together with Alain Ducasse, opened SAPID – a restaurant serving dishes with a minimum amount of waste. Karim Lopez – Karime López Mexican Karim Lopez started her journey with the best international cuisines, first at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Can Fabes in Spain and then at Mugaritz in the Basque Country. Now Karim Lopez works with her husband – Condo “Taka” Takahiko – at the first Osteria Gucci in Florence. The restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2020. Gikas Xenakis – Gikas Xenakis Gikas Xenakis was born and raised in the Greek city of Thebes. Now he – chef of the famous restaurant Aleria. The establishment was recently awarded the Toques d’Or (Greece's highest gastronomic award). Pavlos Kiryakis – Pavlos Kiriakis Guest Chef Pavlos Kiriakis will visit Daios Cove to showcase his best innovative Greek cuisine. Working alongside eminent Michelin-starred chefs. For the past four years, Pavlos Kyriakis has led the creative team at the Andronis Exclusive Hotel in Santorini. Spyros Pediaditakis – Spyros Pediaditakis Spyros Pediaditakis, Awarded “Best Pastry Chef” in 2019 at the FNL Awards and Pastry Chef of the Year in 2020 according to Gault & Millau Hellas, trained in some of the most famous restaurants in Greece and Europe. Spyros has now returned to Athens and became pastry chef at Spondi Restaurant in 2016.
