Estonia will stop issuing visas, residence permits and work permits to Russians and Belarusians
Estonia limits citizens of Russia and the Republic of Belarus the opportunity to work in the country and do business. The government of the country will stop issuing visas, residence permits and work permits to Russians and Belarusians. “This sanction is an additional step to avoid controversy, when international and state sanctions restrict the economy and investments of Russia and Belarus, but at the same time provide citizens of these countries with a residence permit, the right to conduct business and work,” – said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, Christian Jaani (quote «Interfax»). According to Jaani, it is necessary to limit the opportunity for Russians and Belarusians to live and work in Estonia. However, valid residence permits will not be cancelled.
