“Abrau-Durso” presents a new product — gin “7 herbs”. Gin is created from local plants and ingredients traditional for the category — botanicals collected in the rich natural area of the Krasnodar Territory, in Abrau-Dyurso. The basis of the gin recipe was seven key, but not the only plant components: juniper, lavender, eucalyptus, kaffir lime leaves, sage, rosemary and mint. For the production of gin «7 herbs» the traditional evaporation method is used: the botanicals are placed in a gin basket, which is suspended from the top of a 300-liter copper still. During the distillation process, alcohol vapors pass through the plant ingredients, due to which they are saturated with a delicate aroma and taste. Gin is produced on the basis of high-quality grain alcohol with a wheat dominant. All processes of preparation of raw materials are carried out manually. Materials on the topic In the aroma of gin "7 herbs" reveals notes of juniper, orange, lime and bergamot. Versatility and depth are added by shades of cardamom, cedar and rosemary. The taste is dominated by spicy and citrus nuances, as well as tones of freshly baked black bread. Gin has a noble, soft, delicate taste with a long dry finish. “One of the natural features of Abrau-Dyurso — a rich plant world, unique samples of which became the basis of the recipe for “7 Herbs”. The central component of gin — juniper — represented in the forest zone of Abrau-Dyurso even by several varieties. Thanks to seven plant components selected on the territory of Abrau-Dyurso and its environs, a gin with a unique character, accurately reflecting its place of origin, has turned out, — says the chief sommelier of "Abrau-Durso" Pavel Ivanov.
